Thermal Transfer Labels: A thermal ribbon is required to print on these labels. When heat has been applied to the ribbon from the printhead, the ink is transferred onto the label. Thermal Transfer Labels are ideal for applications that need more temperature resistance and a longer shelf life than Direct Thermal products.
These Thermal Transfer Labels have a white polyester facestock with permanent adhesive. Polyester is more moisture resistant than paper thermal transfer materials and offers excellent strength and durability along with scratch and tear resistance. Also offers heat and chemical resistance. Recommended for the toughest applications including electronics, asset labeling, and outdoor use.
Recommended Ribbons
A resin ribbon is recommended for general purpose printing. A chemical resistant resin ribbon may also be used if needed. According to printer manufacturer specifications, the ribbon should always be slightly wider than the media on which you are printing.
